What is Kickstart?

Kickstart is the onboarding experience for Infusionsoft customers. You’ll be paired with a small business sales and marketing automation expert—your coach. You’ll be taught how to build a ‘Perfect Customer Lifecycle’ that will bring continuous, incremental improvements to your sales and marketing efforts.

Is this just software training?

No. Kickstart focuses on the strategic and planning aspects of sales and marketing automation. It teaches you a repeatable process that has been shown to bring incremental improvements to sales and marketing efforts of tens of thousands of small businesses. You’ll learn how to assess your business, plan a targeted strategy, execute and launch that strategy, and then optimize it based on actual results.

We know that small businesses have limited time, energy and resources. Often times they do not know what next step they should take when it comes to sales and marketing, and they don’t want to waste their resources on strategies that may not work. Kickstart focuses on teaching you the methods needed to be a more strategic and organized business.

What is the “Perfect Customer Lifecycle”?

The Perfect Customer Lifecycle is an ideal end to end customer journey, beginning when someone first learns about your company and continues even after they’ve purchased from you.

Who is my coach?

All Kickstart coaches are sales and marketing automation experts. They have worked with thousands of small businesses in almost every industry. They understand the daily challenges you face working in a small business and also the challenges of getting started with new software.

Think of your coach as your small business personal trainer—they are here to help you learn, as well as push you to achieve more than you could have on your own.

How much time do I get with my coach?

The time spent one-on-one with your coach varies based on which Kickstart package you choose.

With Kickstart Lite, your coach spends on average four to five hours with you.
With Kickstart, your coach spends on average seven to eight hours with you.
Kickstart Pro is a fully customizable, project-based implementation and will vary based on the scope and details of your project.

All Kickstarts must be completed within 60 days of purchase, but the majority of customers complete it much sooner.

What are the differences between the Kickstart packages? - Kickstart Lite

Kickstart Lite is for you if you have prior experience working with sales and marketing automation, and are comfortable doing so. Generally, you are comfortable adopting new technology and are a quick learner.

Together with your coach, you’ll launch just one campaign, targeting one aspect of the “Perfect Customer Lifecycle”. This campaign will utilize the content and assets you already have available so that you can launch within a week.

The Kickstart Lite experience looks like this:

  • Assess: Your coach will assess your current sales and marketing efforts and help identify the ideal campaign for you to launch.
  • Plan: Your coach will help plan the content and assets needed to launch an effective campaign.

Single campaign launch—done for you

  • Execute: Your coach will build a single campaign in Infusionsoft and test launch it alongside you. They’ll also guide you as you import your basic contact data.
  • Optimize: After test launching your campaign, your coach will make recommendations to optimize the campaign for a broader launch.
  • Progress: You and your coach will identify the next strategy to launch and ensure you have the tools and resources to move forward with confidence.
What are the differences between the Kickstart packages? - Kickstart

Kickstart is for you if you are new to sales and marketing automation, or want a little extra one on one time with your coach. Generally, you learn best by reviewing a process a few times, ensuring that you are confident and comfortable before using the technology fully on your own.

Together with your coach, you’ll launch three sales and marketing automation campaigns. By the time you are finished, you will have fully automated the core of a “Perfect Customer Lifecycle.” Each campaign will help you learn the software and process so you’ll be ready to move forward confidently on your own.

The Kickstart experience looks like this:

  • Plan: Your coach will help plan the content and assets needed to launch your campaigns.

First campaign launch—done for you

  • Execute: Your coach will build a single campaign in Infusionsoft and test launch it alongside you. They’ll also guide you as you import your basic contact data.

Second campaign launch—done with you

  • Execute: You will build your second campaign independently, with close supervision from your coach.
  • Optimize: After test launching your second campaign, your coach will make recommendations to optimize the campaign for a broader launch.

Third campaign launch—done by you

  • Execute: You will build your third campaign on your own. Your coach will review the campaign and test launch it alongside you.
  • Optimize: After test launching your third campaign, your coach will make recommendations to optimize the campaign for a broader launch.

What are the differences between the Kickstart packages? - Kickstart Pro

Kickstart Pro is a fully customizable implementation solution that’s based on your unique needs and requirements. Our team will scope your project and create a custom implementation plan. With Kickstart Pro, the majority of the implementation work is completed by the Infusionsoft team, with the option to add training for your team if it is required. Kickstart Pro projects typically start at ten hours of work.

Where do I get content for my Kickstart campaigns?

Infusionsoft does not provide content such as graphics, copywriting, or logos. However, Marketplace by Infusionsoft has an ever-expanding library of content templates from our ecosystem of partners. Some templates include starter copywriting or graphics that you can use to test in Kickstart, and customize for your business.
