Ignition: How to Stop Procrastinating Already

Created with Sketch.

Here’s the thing with being a creative person/entrepreneur/both: Creativity is hard. And yet, it’s so easy to get yourself stuck, where you know what you need to do but you just can’t do it. How do you get out of that rut?

That’s why productivity and organization expert Samantha Bennett joined us for of Ignition. She runs The Organized Artist Company, and it’s her specialty to help people get creatively unstuck.

Samantha identifies one potential problem: Maybe you’re seeing how everyone else is doing it, and deep down, you just don’t want to do it that way. Maybe it’s not the way for you to do it.

Finding your way starts with determining the bigger goal—not just “I need a press kit” or “I need better marketing.” Why do you need those things—do you want more exposure? More clients? More sales? Start from the big goal, then work into finding what works for you that people will respond to.

Watch this week’s Ignition to find out all the tips Samantha has for finding what works for you—then making it work.
