What makes us humans great is our ability to have a vision and to then bring it to fruition.

It’s the basic premise for why we create art, or the impetus for engineering, or for why people start small businesses, or run for public office.

Big or small, we all do it in one way or another. It’s pretty awesome, if you think about it.

Every year, we have a little cultural phenomenon called “New Year’s Resolutions,” in which we all dream up a goal for ourselves and collectively watch to see whom will actually accomplish the dream within the year. Statistically, it’s pretty abysmal: only 8 percent accomplish their resolution.
