We are the Production Operations team and we are responsible for all aspects of 24/7 operations and platform services in a high-availability environment. In short - we make sure our product is up to date and performing at all times. We also are responsible for release management architecture and DevOps. That said, we searching for a Director to lead the continued success of our team and establish Infusionsoft as a world-class SaaS company with unrivaled reliability and performance.  

The Work

  1. Drive the transition from a co-located self hosted SaaS company to a public cloud SaaS company
  2. Build the current Production Operations team into a team of SREs
  3. Aggressively manage all costs related to hosting in both the co-located data centers and in the Cloud

Daily Execution Excellence

  • Collaborate with Dev, PM, and other departments to build out our Cloud solution and create plans for migrating customers and applications to the Cloud environment
  • Mentor and grow Production Operations team members into SREs
  • Guide the creation and maintenance of a robust and automated CD pipeline and production monitoring system
  • Guide and set the vision for the Operations Engineers to build world class automation and configuration tools for our services
  • Direct all incident and problem management issues within the Production Operations team
  • Ensure the maintenance of the 99.994% uptime of our applications and services in our data centers
  • Manage projects and time-lines for successful project completion
  • Evaluate current and proposed compute/storage/network and virtualization platforms for high availability and scalability
  • Work with managers, directors, developers, systems architects and engineers to build new SaaS products for Infusionsoft
  • Manage of vendor relations and procurement maximizing ROI

Expertise

  • If you can do execute the work, you can do the job. That being said, we realize we likely need someone with…
  • Experience transitioning from a data center environment to the Cloud
  • Experience building out a team of Site Reliability Engineers
  • Experience with AWS, or (preferably) Google Cloud
  • Experience implementing and managing DevOps
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment
  • Experience with Global SaaS deployment and maintenance
  • Strong systems engineering experience supporting systems in both privately hosted and public cloud environments
  • Top notch skills managing and supporting technical teams in different technical disciplines
  • Proven track record of building technical teams
  • Awesome interpersonal skills and communication with other teams and management counterparts
  • Experience managing internal budgets, costs and contracts as they apply to vendors, services, and goods
  • Technical skill sets in Cloud, compute, storage, network and virtualization technologies

You’ll really knock our socks off if you have…

  • BS in Computer Science/Information Technology and/or 7-10 years of experience supporting IT/Operations or Development systems
  • Strong system and tools development skills (AWS, Google Cloud, bash, ruby, python, Java)
  • Operational experience with code repositories and versioning (Git, svn, github)
  • Solid understanding of virtualization principles, architectures, deployment and administration (vmware, zen, kvm).
  • Experience migrating off of VMWare to OS options.
  • Strong experience with BI, Data Warehouses, and data analysis tools
  • Solid understanding of Storage, Networking and Compute systems
  • Experience supporting multiple data center and Cloud environments
  • Ability to analyze critical issues and translate those findings into solutions with our Operations Engineers and Administrators
