"We use Infusion Software for not only tracking, but for automating the campaign. Otherwise, the multi-step follow-up would be virtually impossible to manage. For marketing purposes, you won't be able to find anything better...plus it also allows you to automate not only the direct mail campaign, but it will let you auto-mate the voice-blasts and e-blasts, and fax blasts too.They built their entire software essentially around the needs of information niche marketers and the kind of multi-step, multi-media marketing we do.
We shopped around a lot before we decided on using Infusion, and the only thing that came remotely close was to have something custom built for us...which as you might imagine, can get pretty costly. So using Infusion is almost like (and in some ways better) than having a custom, $80,000 CRM built for you. Because they have a big support team down there.
And when you compare the costs of other alternatives, not to mention the "lost" money you throw away with inadequate follow up, they really are "cheap" from a marketing investment standpoint. And they probably should and will be raising their prices soon.
Most entrepreneurs think nothing of testing $4,500 on a full page ad to generate leads, but they won't invest $4,500 for a CRM that automates your follow up for you???
It doesn't make sense.
If you don't have a solid system in place to follow up and maximize those leads, guess what...your just letting a lot of potential dollars just go down the toilet.
Anyway, that's my two cents.
Infusion is NOT perfect by the way, but they are constantly working on improving every day, and they are 10 times better (and cheaper) than anything else out there that's comparable."
