Jim Hawthorn is the owner of Hawthorn Design & Landscape, an established Colorado-based landscaping company. He wanted to create a more engaging way to welcome new customers to the Hawthorn family, as well as to gauge new customer satisfaction and encourage referrals.
Jim decides to launch a multipart campaign to accomplish these goals. The campaign begins by sending a welcome letter, followed by an email confirming the details of their first appointment. Later, customers are invited to take a survey and earn rewards for recommending their friends.
Welcome Letter
Once a prospect has become a customer and has scheduled their first design consultation appointment, Jim and his team can trigger an automated task that assigns his office manager to fulfill a welcome letter. Jim created a letter template using Infusionsoft, enabling his team to pull up the letter and personalize it before arranging the fulfillment.
Consultation Confirmation
Using Infusionsoft’s Drag & Drop Email Builder, Jim designs a personalized email confirming the details of their upcoming design consultation. By creating this email as a template, Jim and his office staff can quickly and easily customize the details of each customer’s appointment as needed.
Survey Email
Jim wants to make sure customers are happy with the level of service they experience during their design consultations so he knows which areas need improvement. He uses a low-cost survey website to create a brief questionnaire, then embeds the link into an Infusionsoft email that is scheduled to automatically deploy one week after the appointment.
Using Infusionsoft’s real-time reporting, Jim can see how many customers both open the email and click through to take the survey.
Referral Request
Jim knows how powerful word of mouth can be for attracting new customers, so he decides to create a referral incentive for his existing customers. He designs a new email in Infusionsoft’s Drag & Drop Email Builder tool that asks them to pass along a voucher to their friends and family. In turn, they will receive a free gift card for every referral.
By embedding unique links into the email, Jim can see who clicks through to download the voucher.
People like to see that a business truly cares about what its customers want. Jim’s new customer campaign is a great way to increase customer loyalty, grow through referrals and ensure satisfaction—all through Infusionsoft.
