After several years of working the corporate grind, Cherise Washington caught the entrepreneurial bug and started her own financial planning business—Rainy Day Financial Planning.
Cherise recently launched a campaign offering a free report about planning for the future. She has seen a great response from that report and decides to take the campaign to the next level by offering a free consultation to those people who download the report.
Consultation Emails
Cherise schedules the consultation offer email to automatically deploy one week after a contact downloads the report. She creates the email using Infusionsoft’s Drag & Drop Email Builder and places a unique, trackable link in the report.
When a recipient clicks the trackable link, Infusionsoft springs into action behind the scenes and sends a confirmation email to the lead. Simultaneously, a notification is sent to Cherise or her assistant notifying them of a new consultation request.
Once an appointment is scheduled, the contact moves into a reminder campaign sequence.
14-Day Follow-Up
Cherise doesn’t want to bombard her new prospects with too many emails, so she schedules her first follow-up for 14 days after the initial offer. Because she is using a trackable link in the previous email, Cherise knows exactly who has clicked to schedule their consultation, enabling her to segment her list for more follow-up.
Cherise uses a different trackable link in this email to distinguish the results from the initial one.
21-Day Follow-Up
Knowing how valuable this consultation can be, Cherise sends one final offer to her contacts, scheduled 21 days after the first email.
Once again, she uses data from the trackable link in the previous email to segment and target only those who have not yet scheduled an appointment.
Cherise smartly evaluated a trend she had been seeing in her own business and offered something relevant and valuable to her prospects. Campaigns that tie closely with what prospective customers are looking for will have higher rates of success.
