Job Description

The Interaction Designer is responsible for helping to guide the visual development and user experience for the world leading sales & marketing software for small business. The Interaction Designer should have a thorough understanding of usability and testing skills to oversee the quality of all projects he/she produces. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of internet technologies, human interaction, user-experience, user-interface, production and e-commerce site design. This coupled with a passion for professional skill development and staying current on industry trends rounds out the makings of a true Infusionsoft Interaction Designer. On a day-to-day basis the Interaction Designer is expected to create innovative solutions, conduct user-focused research, strive for making easy the norm and ensure that development has the necessary information/materials for a successful deployment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Work closely with Product Managers, other Designers and Engineers to create world-class UX
• Contribute and collaborate with team members in making key product decisions
• Be the subject matter expert on selecting the appropriate UX solution and defining the vision of the End-To-End User experience.
• Participate in ongoing customer research, interviews and on-site visits in order to fully grasp the needs of our users first hand.
• Be experienced in the application of User-Centered philosophies and Interaction Design Best Practices.
• Be an End-User Advocate, driving user needs and goals into both creative and pragmatic design solutions.
• Demonstrate the ability to execute Design work with a high standard for quality within time and technical constraints.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS or higher degree in Interaction Design or related discipline (i.e. Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Design) preferred
• 3-5 years of professional experience in Interactive Design; Visual Design skills a plus
• Strong Visual Design/Layout/Typography skillset
• Must possess a web-based portfolio!
• Must possess mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator
• Thorough understanding of web-based technologies; i.e. CSS, HTML
• Ability to document user experience and interactivity through wireframes, flowcharts, screenshots, design specifications and demos
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate designs
• Strong problem-solving, creative, communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work with minimal direction in a constantly evolving fast-paced environment; Must be able to quickly identify and prioritize business objectives
• Ability to work harmoniously in small groups
• Experience working with other Technical disciplines (PM, Dev, Test), as well as Business and Marketing
• Candidates MUST provide a web-based portfolio to be considered!!!

Ideal Qualifications:

• Strong Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong Knowledge of web technologies and their appropriate application.
• Understanding of User Interaction design principles as it relates to web based software
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 is a plus. Bonus points for Javascript/jQuery
• Bonus points for having entrepreneurial spirit / being a self-starter.
• Even more bonus points for general comprehension of Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Web Analytics, SEO and/or Mobile Environments
