Rule #1: Give ‘Em Some Bang for Their Zero Bucks. Yes, your webinar is free. But people expect to get something out of it. Get a good speaker, demo a cool product or make them an offer they can’t refuse…and you’ll be playing to a full house.
Rule #2: Tell ‘Em What You’re Going to Tell ‘Em. If you really want to look like you know what you’re talking about, you cannot afford a flimsy, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants presentation. Make a detailed outline and tell your audience what the plan is. That keeps everyone—you and your audience—right on track.
Rule #3: Practice…Practice….and Practice Some More. Worried about getting online with 1000 people and totally blowing it? Practice what you’ll say…and what you’ll DO. If you want to use polls or surveys, set them up ahead of time or hire assistants to do them on-the-fly. Like any great magician, the more tricks you’ve got up your sleeve, the better your show will be.
Rule #4: Make It Short and Sweeten the Deal. Short is a no-brainer. You have less than 10 minutes to hook your audience. Then you’ve got to offer them a sweet deal to keep them online. Short presentation + sweet deal + call to action = SOLD!
Rule #5: Round ‘Em Up and Reel ‘Em In. A super-successful webinar will have you swimming in more leads—and potential CASH!!— than you can handle. But ONLY IF you have a lightening-fast follow-up system. Instant, electronic, direct follow-up to a killer webinar will double your sales and have you rolling in dough!
And don’t forget…start marketing to your webinar registrants as soon as you get their contact information. They may not buy straight from the webinar, but with the right marketing, a few of them WILL eventually purchase!
