Infusionsoft Management TeamInfusionsoft was founded by entrepreneurial small business owners who saw a need in the market for automated marketing solutions. Since inception, we have worked tirelessly to provide real-world solutions to other, like-minded small businesses. Our talented team has extensive technology and small business expertise. Scott Martineau - Founder, Vice President, Product Management
Scott hates fake and loves authentic. Life was meant to live happily and to enjoy to the fullest. He feels strongly that entrepreneurs need to stop looking around and just doing what everyone else is doing. Instead, he suggests that they should find their own mission in life and then go build a great company around that dream. Scott’s dream is to revolutionize the way that small businesses grow. To him, this means that every person who has the entreprenurial spark will have access to the tools they need to turn their spark into a raging fire of success. Infusionsoft If you’re curious, Scott graduated from ASU with a Computer Information Systems degree, but credits most of his technical knowledge to the Internet and his business and marketing knowledge to good books, great mentors (like Michael Gerber, Dan Kennedy, Pat Sullivan, etc.), and through screwing up a bunch of things. Oh yah, and Scott wears jeans every day. Favorite quote: “Having a healthy disregard for the impossible… that’s a really good phrase” - Larry Page (co-founder of Google) Scott’s BlogClate Mask - President
A year before finishing grad school, Clate was bitten by the technology bug. He began working for a dot com start-up called North Sky, where he continued to work throughout school. He wrote the business plan and helped to build and sell the company to About.com in December of 1999 for $42 million. After the acquisition, he took control of several Internet properties, converted those properties from 'free' to 'fee', created additional revenue streams and then watched the company go through another acquisition. At that point, it was time for Clate to get in on the equity game, so he joined Infusionsoft and set out to build the company to be the leading provider of eMarketing solutions for small businesses (that want to become big businesses). He loves what he does at Infusionsoft and his passion can be felt the moment he starts talking. When Clate isn't working to build Infusionsoft, he loves to spend time with his gorgeous wife and five great kids. The balancing act can be difficult at times, but his family supports him 100% and serves as a constant reminder about what really matters in life. As much as Clate loves to write and execute a good business plan, his real joy comes from the time he spends with his family. Clate loves to play golf (he shot his first hole-in-one on June 14, 2006!), basketball, softball and racquetball - and don't even get him started about ping pong. Clate’s BlogEric Martineau - Chief Software Architect
Eric is an entrepreneur at heart, though he prefers his recent ventures in software to his more youthful enterprises, such as mowing lawns, delivering newspapers, and selling candy door-to-door. Once he realized he could tell a computer what to do and it would obey, he was hooked. Working side-by-side with Scott, he helped to mastermind Infusionsoft, the leading follow-up engine in the industry. At Infusionsoft, Eric Martineau is the Chief Software Architect. This position allows him to align the product's technology and architecture with the long-term strategic vision of the company. And if this wasn't hard enough, he has to make sure that the technology decisions made today will allow enough flexibility to weather the ever-shifting tech landscape. While not geeking out, Eric, his wife Beth, and son Pace love going to concerts, hanging out, going on walks, playing video games, basketball, and riding four-wheelers. Eric’s BlogDave Lee - Vice President, Marketing
Marc Chesley - Vice President, Development and Technology
Prior to joining Infusionsoft, Marc held executive positions in several technology companies that include: President of Discount Computer Services, Inc., Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Modulus Investments, LLC, Director of Technology, WinForce Technologies, Inc. and General Counsel of IT Partners, Inc. Marc also assisted early stage companies in business transactions and corporate governance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financing. Outside of work, Marc enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He also enjoys playing and collecting guitars, swimming, skiing and reading. Marc’s favorites quote is, "Tall ships are safe in harbors, but that is not what tall ships are built for". This quote motivates him to continually step outside of comfort zones and take risks. Marc received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Arizona State University, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Marc received his Juris Doctor with honors, from J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. Marc’s BlogAdam Ross - Vice President, Sales and Alliances
Prior to Infusionsoft, Ross was the Vice President of Channel for NetSuite Inc., where he oversaw all aspects of Americas Channel strategy for NetSuite, Inc. As a result of his leadership, the Americas Channel division significantly increased revenue and increased the number of VAR’s selling the NetSuite product line. Prior to NetSuite, Ross served as National Sales Director for Best Software’s CRM division. While at Best Software, Ross oversaw all aspects of revenue production for the CRM division of the company. As a result of his leadership, the CRM division significantly increased revenue for its CRM sales while drastically reducing operating expenses. Ross was one of the first 20 employees at Interact Commerce Corporation, SalesLogix’s parent prior to its' acquisition by The Sage Group PLC, known as Best Software in North America. Clate loves to turn small businesses into big businesses. His decades of experience with paper routes, door-to-door sales and start-up ventures give him the heart, entrepreneurial fire and courage to think big. His economics, MBA and law degrees give him the formal training to turn that entrepreneurial fire into a successful, revolutionary company that creates value for everyone associated with it. So, while his grad school friends pursued traditional jobs in Corporate America, Clate wanted to build small businesses.
Eric Martineau wrote his first software application when he was 8 years old, sometime shortly after he attended his first and only computer camp. Over the next 13 years, as he was dealing with the social stresses of actually attending computer camp, Eric developed his "cool" talents: music and sports. He has played the piano for 20 years, the guitar for 12 years, and played prep basketball through high school (We use the term “played” loosely). His best sports moment was a clutch performance at the 1996 Arizona State 3 Point Shooting Contest where he won first place.
Dave Lee absolutely loves working with Infusionsoft as Vice President of Marketing. He is a veteran with web-based software (SaaS) and has been using the Internet since 1988 when he first logged on with a Prodigy account to check the Lake Tahoe ski report each night. Dave is not only a great marketing strategist, but is also extremely skilled in executing the plan. He attributes this rare skill primarily to the massive inefficiencies he saw at previous ‘big’ companies he worked for. At one point, he was so fed up with the lack of entrepreneurial drive and dealing with 'red tape' that Dave ventured off to form his own software business, which he ran for over three years before joining Infusionsoft. Dave comments, “This is the first time in my career where I wasn’t absolutely bored within the first month of employment! It’s strange, but many of my professional and life experiences have groomed me for this role at Infusionsoft.” His prior decade working in technology & software companies combined with an entrepreneurial spirit, political science & MBA degrees, and his love of marketing, sales, & working with people make Dave a powerful contributor on the Infusionsoft executive team. Outside of work, Dave loves spending time with his family, lives to snow ski (
