How do you define success?

I define success by the attitude my customers carry. If they are pleased with what they receive from my company, whether it be product or knowledge, then I feel like I am succeeding in doing my job.

Honestly I feel like Infusionsoft is the brains behind my business. I can handle the creative side just fine but if it wasn't for Infusionsoft there is no way I could track my sales, customers, and leads. It doesn't just stop there; the e-commerce is the workhorse for my website and the upsells don't hurt either. I also find myself visiting the Infusionsoft blog frequently so I know what I should be doing with social media and how I can better use the Campaign Builder. It's basically my one-stop shop for my business.

I think the secret to success is having a solid support system behind you whether it be friends or family, and your love for your work must always be stronger than your desire for money or success. You want to be the one influencing your business and not have your business overpowering you and your standards. Stay true to who you are.

If you can look back at the end of each day and see you've helped someone. Really made a difference in their lives. Made an impact. That's what really matters. Everything else is just dust in the wind.

You have to get your fanny out of the La-Z-Boy and just do it. Take action. Just start. I see too many aspiring entrepreneurs sitting around waiting for the perfect moment to start their business. Guess what? There is no such thing. The time is now. Not tomorrow, not next week. Today.

How do you define success?

For me, success is being able to do what you love and make a difference. In my case, I've been fortunate to be in a position to create a business called Math Plus Academy that combines my love of mathematics and my passion for teaching in an effort to help inspire kids to do great things.

The greatest benefit is being able to collect leads and event registrations through web forms and then trigger follow-up sequences based on those signups. The second benefit is having the shopping cart built in so that we can easily include shopping cart links directly in our emails. We used this feature to get kids enrolled for summer camps this year and it worked beautifully. I sent an email letting prospects know we had a few last-minute open spots and the camp was filled in 4 hours. Amazing!

Many entrepreneurs like me think we have great ideas, but fail to execute many of them due to a number of factors including "analysis paralysis.” You can only grow as an entrepreneur by committing yourself to new ideas and strategies and then testing them to see if they work. You'll fail often, but you'll learn so much more in the process.

How do you define success?

Success is about achieving what you set out to accomplish. It's about having the ability to make choices, define your future, set goals and working to achieve them. It's overcoming the challenges of life, growing and learning. I think success is understanding just that and finding our way to optimistically overcome those challenges because life will always bring us challenges.

Infusionsoft has been a heaven-send. First, it allows me one place to go for working with the most important business systems. Second, being able to automate my business systems and workflow has really changed the way I think about and do business. Every day, I'm looking for new ways to automate things we do to save me time, relieving stress and allowing me to focus on projects and clients. First, be realistic and understand that the law of the harvest is real and key to business success: you reap what you sow. If you want success, you need to be willing to work hard to get it, particularly when you're getting started. It's not easy but worth it!

If you have a dream of something you want to accomplish, it is very important that you have a plan so you know where you want to go. Without a PLAN you may bounce all over the place, and it will be hard for you to see any progress you make. Last but not least, it is important to have an accountability partner. This should be someone to hold your feet to the fire and push you forward even when the going gets tough, because it will get rough sometimes.

Whether searching for and hiring your first employee or your eightieth, find people who are committed, adaptable, and willing to learn. Lastly, give your employees the credit when they have earned it. Your business takes work and you want your employees to care about the business as much as you do.

My favorite definition is by Zig Ziglar: "You can have anything in life you want, by helping enough other people get what they want." I feel like success is when our clients are prospering because of our efforts to assist them with marketing and marketing consistency. That's the most rewarding part of what we do.

Taking time to work "on" your business instead of "in" it all the time. It's important to set up systems and automate what can be automated so you can focus your efforts on being great at the parts of your business that require human interaction.
